In recent years Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) have become an increasingly prevalent healthcare delivery model. Changing economics of healthcare have required physicians to act more collaboratively to gain, and keep, their patients. However, relatively few resources have been developed to guide IPAs through the operational, legal, and logistical complexities of managing a physician-owned organization.
