The underlying idea behind the creation of the Fairs Cup was the provision of inter-cities matches to entertain and promote international sports relations. During the life of the Cup, 13 competitions took place during which a total of 1,036 matches were played by 207 clubs. Full statistics of these matches are contained in this book.
