This report from the International Commission on Peace and Food puts forward detailed proposals for: a new system of global security and peace within national boundaries, based on cooperation and not nuclear weapons; a strategy to deliver full employment in industrial countries and in the South; a food and agricultural revolution that eliminates hunger and reduces inequality worldwide; and a transition in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union that avoids the damage to people's lives wrought by the rush to marketization.
