The poems presented in this collection were culled from the best by late poet Jeremy Ingalls. She was known for her use of classical, mythological, biblical, and Oriental allusions. Her inclusion of lore in her poetry adds depth as well as elements of herself, as a scholar and admirer of academia, to lines that already resonate from imagery. The collection illustrates why Ingalls has been proclaimed 'a poet of the ages.
