Physics Teaching Laboratory
Many students enter university with minimal or no previous experience of conducting experiments or of analysing and presenting results. One of the aims of this text is to provide students with an introduction to the design and running of experiments, the statistical analysis and the presentation of their results. While much of the book is dedicated to the analysis and presentation of laboratory data, it is not intended to be a book just on statistics. Rather, it is a
practical guide to collecting, recording, analysing and presenting experimental data. Emphasis is placed on making best use of the apparatus and statistics, rather than the detailed theory behind them.
