The Palestinian Uprising - A War by Other Means
This book aims to provide a comprehensive account of the origins evolution and significance of the Intifada. The author uses accounts from the participants in the uprising, but also endeavours to bring depth and perspective to the work by taking a broad historical view of the situation. The book examines the effect of the intifada on US and Israeli policies, and in particular their attitude to Palestinian nationalism, and shows how the movement has evolved from episodes of sporadic stone-throwing to mass resistance and institutionalization.
