When thirteen-year-old George finds a parcel in a disused lift he is mystified by the contents - a lift timetable, tablets to induce sickness and an invisible torch (that is clearly visible). Equipped with these three seemingly useless items, George is imprisoned and transported by the lift to Leesome Shrouds, a place where wishes really do come true. But wishing is not without consequence here in this weird land, for the more you wish the sicker you become...Until death comes upon you. What would you do?
