This textbook uses a problem-based approach for covering the topics in ophthalmology. Each new chapter begins with a general presentation of a patient scenario. This is followed by a flowchart of a medical work up leading to a specific diagnosis. With each specific diagnosis, the authors provide the readers with a classic presentation of that disease. Pertinent diagnostics tests, clinical symptoms, appearance and treatments are described, and the authors included recommendations based on the most receint clinical trials data. Residents and fellows can use the book to study for the oral boards
