Gertrude tries to adjust to living without her husband after 66 years of marriage. She feels a part of her is missing since he went to be with Jesus. She feels so alone even though she has 12 grown children that takes care of her every need. She lives with her daughter but she doesn't really feel like it is home without Roy. Her mind keeps reliving some of the events of the years gone by
