Vuollerim 6000 Years has initiated a series of workshops on issues connected with studies of prehistoric hunter-gathere societies in the Barents region. The workshops are planned and implemen ed by a scientific council at the museum and village of Vuollerim in Sweden. The contributions and the results of round table discussions of the workshop in 2003 are presented in: this volume. The members of the scientific council are: docent Kjel Knutsson, Uppsala, professor Roger Engelmark, Umcii, professor Ericka Engelstad, Troms0, professor Milton Nunez, Oulu, and professor Micliail Zhilin, Moskva.
