Born in 1977, Anthony Hawley grew up in New England and was educated at Columbia University. 'The Concerto Form' is his first collection. He has a B.A. in Italian Literature, and has also translated the Italian poet, Andrea Zanzotto, He now teaches at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is also one of the editors of the literary journal, 'FENCE". Ann Lauterbach said of this manuscript: "The poems in 'The Concerto Form' are made of close harmonies and intimate elisions as taut as the strings of a violin; their muted, contracted sonorities seem to vibrate with a desire to find solace in the grammar of perception..."
