Edward Paget-Tomlinson produced 37 colour paintings of scenes of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways; all of them depict the scene from Victorian times through to closure in 1946. This work features those paintings along with the painter's pen and ink drawings of the railway and a history of the Ffestiniog Railway written by Adrian Gray.
