'European energy policy is rolling. The engines have been completely overhauled; the Lisbon Treaty has added a turbo in 2009; Fukushima has led to a thorough stress test in 2010, the internal market package has entered into force in 2011, and smart technology is spreading all over the sophisticated machine. 2012 may be considered as the year of the take off.'
-Helmut Schmitt von Sydow, Professor, University of Lausanne and European College of Parma; Former Director and Chief Legal Adviser, DG TREN, EC
