This conference brought together physicists from all over the world who work on problems that arise during the design and in the operation of particle accelerators. Topics covered include accelerator and beam physics issues associated with high intensity and/or brightness, technical system designs, reviews of existing machines, and overviews of planned projects for protons and ions.
