Harina and the Doctor Bird
Harina comes home from school very excited about the passport game she was playing. She finds Mummy feeling poorly and snuggles up to her with her 'Gumbi'. She thinks about her last adventure with the crested guinea fowl Hanga, her favourite bird, where she saw the Doctor Bird helping Peli, a poorly bird friend. Could Doc help Mummy? If only I could talk to him, she thinks. Then, as she drifts off into sleep there is a tapping at the window... and Harina's next adventure begins! With Hanga and Doctor Bird she visits a new country, and on returning she remembers how to help Mummy feel much better. Harina and the Doctor Bird is the second part of a series of children's books suitable for ages 3-7. They can be enjoyed by families, teachers and children on their own. The books emphasise diversity, international understanding and racial harmony as well as the joy of giving.
