Set in Victorian times, this is the story of Tom, a boy terrified of the sea. When poverty forces his mother to move them to Penzance, Tom is confronted by his worst fear. But when a storm sweeps his uncle's fishing boat from its moorings, Tom's fear is pushed to its limits.
