This collection of photographs of patients, pathological specimens, X-rays and CT scans supplements the text of

Lecture Notes on General Surgery, and can be used either as a companion to that volume or alone as a self-test book. It is intended to provide the final year medical student with practice for the oral and short cases parts of Surgery Finals. Each case is presented as a photograph with a very brief description and relevant history and is followed by questions which test the reader's skills in diagnosis and management.
