Karl Marx generalised the contention that financial capital is power. Supporters of information society have asserted that knowledge is power. Authors of the book claim that both statements are wrong because trust is power. Trust capital helps people to use their money and knowledge. It is a precondition to success and prosperity in a market economy. To achieve these an enterprise, small or big, must learn to earn and radiate trust capital. Trust Capital is an access to mental dimension of entrepreneurship ill-used by governmental regulation and centralised policies. The authors assert that the lack of trust capital explains a greater share of fundamental problems of the market economy than people usually think. The authors show how to acquire trust capital and use it to solve these problems. Risto Harisalo is associate professor in administrative science in Tampere University.
