There was more to life than sitting behind a desk pushing paper, and Matt Hamilton was determined to find it.
Discontent with life in Canada and anxious to find a country more conducive to his mentality and lifestyle, Hamilton left Ottawa with just a pack on his back and a one-way ticket to Glasgow. He was bent to thrive in life and leave behind his days in the velvet rut-an uneventful ride through existence with minimal variety and limited exposure outside of North America.
From Canada to Glasgow, Ireland to the Netherlands, and other places far and wide, Hamilton's goal was to take a timeless trip around the planet. He fully anticipated some learning experiences and challenges along the way. But his vision never included heroin addicts, living in brothels, and working for gangsters.
Candid and witty, these are the adventures, philosophies, and confessions of a young man who chose to say good-bye to everything he knew and hello to the world that he didn't.
