Robert Louis Stevenson: Some Personal Recollections
1924. Lord Guthrie offers a firsthand account of the the life of the Scottish novelist, poet, and essayist based on his personal knowledge and acquaintance with Stevenson. He writes that he does not propose to assay Stevenson's genius, but, from affection to the man and admiration for the artist, to add a modest stone of personal recollection to the cairn growing, year by year, in honor of his beloved memory.
