Michael Guest was formerly a trainee priest for the Roman Catholic diocese of Plymouth. Prior to this, he worked with the homeless in Central London through both voluntary and statutory agencies. Having had a personal devotion to the Stations of the Cross, which record the final hours of Christ's life, he wrote these reflections whilst on pastoral placement at St Mary Immaculate, Falmouth, in Cornwall. Having been diagnosed with autistic traits in 2014, Michael was inspired by a friend to share these reflections with others in order to demonstrate that, whilst bearing this `unwanted cross' himself, it did nevertheless provide him with unique insights. Michael hopes that these reflections will be used by many of different faiths and with various understandings of God. He is currently studying counselling theory in the hope that he might become a future practitioner. May all who bear `a cross' in their life, irrespective of its form, find hope and inspiration through these reflections. This is Michael's first book.
