A man and woman, both named Christian are leaders in your church. They are often in competition with each other; however, they considered it ministry. Though caustic, she tries to appear dedicated and humble. He defends his conceit as "charisma," what a man of great faith must possess in order to accomplish great purposes. After abusing his wife, he decides to chastise her with scripture, so she won't call the police, or pastor. He reads aloud Psalm 23:1-5, ending at verse 5, "Thou preparest a table before ME in the presence of mine enemies." She doesn't call. He relaxes and begins to ponder the meaning of "in the presence." Soon sleepy; just before dozing off, he hazily envisions seeing the Shepherd, standing right in front of him! He awakens in a sleep-state, and is greatly troubled. He has dared to enter the place where his enemies stand, those unable to sit at the Table. He ends up in a hellish maze, and is wholly traumatized! Who or What, did Christian discover while "in the presence?"
