Like Whispers from Heaven is a collection of poetry which reflects the tough times that I have encountered throughout life. As a child, I was without many friends causing me to spend a lot of time to myself. As I grew older, things still didn't change much so I began using that alone time to write poetry and express myself by using pencil and paper. As time progressed, I wrote more and more. It was then that I realized that poetry was my way out when I faced difficult times in life. This collection of poetry reflects the lost of loved ones, depressing doctor's visits, surgeries, returning to college after marriage and children, an expanded family due to the death of a loved one, rejection, and much more. The purpose of this collection is to inspire and encourage you during difficult times to continue moving forward and to never give up hope regardless of how impossible the situation might seem. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me." (KJV Philippians 4: 13) Like Whispers from Heaven is also designed to help you appreciate the sunshine after experiencing rain in your life. If you are determined to keep moving forward, you will make it. Determination is the key to the door of success. Being determined means going forward and refusing to let anything cause you to look back and dwell on unimportant issues. Carol R.
