For some time now, incentives have been coming out of anglophone German language and literature studies that have a significant effect on the field in Germany. With the creation of Angermion, a forum has been established which brings the fruitful interaction within European German studies to light and focuses on the exciting and symbiotic German-British cultural relationships existing since the 18th century. Research studies in literary, linguistic and cultural criticism, translations, myths, prejudices, bilateral institutions, theatre, music and pop culture are bundled together into main focus topics and supplemented by reviews of relevant new publications. Thus, the yearbook reflects a broad spectrum of intercultural processes of transfer and their change over time and, at the same time, accentuates the latest scientific debates in the humanities. The contributions, published in English and German, are directed towards experts in anglophone German studies abroad, as well as specialists in German studies, Anglicists and cultural scientists working interculturally in German-speaking countries.
