How Life Can be in Poetry
When life is hard writing poetry can be therapeutic, enabling the person writing to keep things in perspective. Many of the poems in this book were written when R. V. Goodhart was going through difficult times in life. As the organiser of a writing group, in her home town of Wallsend in the North East of England: Rita enjoys sharing her lifelong love of writing with others. These poems cover a wide range of subjects. From flowers in the garden to feelings aroused when holding a baby. Many have a nostalgic aspect. Some poems were inspired by the deaths of much admired public figures, such as Nelson Mandela, David Bowie and Sir Terry Wogan.
