Released back in 1988, Godflesh's self-titled EP is still one of the most powerful and dark recordings the duo ever caught on tape. The slow, pummeling grind of Avalanche Master Song is as iconic as the record's immediately recognisable monochrome cover, laying down the blueprint for their seminal Streetcleaner album, whilst tracks like the driving Veins prove that guitarist/vocalist Justin Broadrick's unique melodic sensibility was in full effect right from day one.
