Give My Love to Everybody
This is a first-person account of a young infantry soldier describing for his family his experiences in boot camp, his reluctance to kill, his dream of coming home to his fiance, and his growing trepidation and anxiety as his deployment date draws near. Then his letters end abruptly, when he is killed only a month after arriving overseas. His story is picked up by his army mates, who wrote to his loved ones, trying to give them some comfort for the son, brother, friend, and sweetheart who would never return. Included are the entire series of wartime letters and photographs.
