Roberto Ferri - Noli Foras Ire
This is a superbly illustrated look at the work of Baroque inspired contemporary Italian artist Roberto Ferri. Italian contemporary artist Roberto Ferri began studying painting on his own in the late 1990s, before moving to Rome in 1999 where he intensified his study. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. Ferri's work is deeply inspired by the old masters of the Baroque, Romanticism, and Academism and by Caravaggio in particular. His grasp of light and shadow allows him to create images full of drama and passion which are surrounded by a halo of antiquity but at the same time enhanced with contemporary techniques, where dreams become a material reality ready to astonish the spectator. This volume brings together 36 of the artists latest works - 24 paintings, and 12 drawings and preparatory sketches.
