Following Winnicott's orientation, the contributors to this book are discovering and rediscovering for themselves. They are all independent thinkers, not bound to any school. They work within various frameworks while using the clinical modes that Winnicott has stressed in his treatment of severely disturbed patients. They also build on his concepts and introduce their own outlooks, to enrich other therapists and help their patients.
