Gerhard Graf-Martinez is one of the most successful authors of flamenco-specific guitar textbooks worldwide. Born in 1952 in the Stuttgart area, he began playing rock and blues as a teenager before he came to the classical guitar. This was followed by guitar-related stays in Spain with a deepening of his knowledge of traditional and modern flamenco.
