After the death of his father Gallegos began what is now a collection of poetry that defiantly and unapologetically examines mans dark side-from self-mutilation, anger and hate to the myriad faces of death. However it didn't stop there, after the death of Summer, the one he ever truly loved, the darkness grew like an infection fueling the hate and anger in him. Heartfelt and honest sentiments permit readers to peer into the author's heart and soul. Although some of the rhymes seem contradictory to the intense subject matter, Gallegos' macabre view of the universe is consistently rendered throughout with chilling images.
