Matters of Faith and Morals brings together a number of original essays on ethics and on relationships between ethics and other disciplines pertaining to religion and social sceicnes. They are not expositions of recognized positions within established schools of thought, but exploratory and controversial. They are intended not to transmit a traditional body of doctrine, but to foster discussion and encourage argument in the interest of intellectual progress.
