Following the outstanding success of "Dear Fatty", an autobiography which was as praised for its writing style as for its insight into a celebrity life, Dawn French now turns to fiction, with this debut novel which will be backed by Penguin's biggest women's fiction launch and spend of 2010. Written in diary format, it is the story of a family, sibling rivalry and growing up, told in turn through the eyes of a mother, child-psychiatrist Mo, who doesn't understand her own children, and teenagers; Dora, who can't wait to escape to university; and Peter, who has an Oscar Wilde fixation. She will be doing the rounds of top media interviews and coverage, and there will be a major advertising campaign.
