Forest Swords is releasing the album 'Bolted' following his acclaimed 2017 album 'Compassion', which was praised by Q Magazine and Rolling Stone. Forest Swords is Liverpool-based DJ and producer Matthew Barnes who, in addition to his own music, also composes for ballet productions, film and video games. On "Bolted" Barnes samples the iconic Swedish artist Neneh Cherry on the first single "Butterfly Effect" and it was picked up by Pitchfork, Clash and Fader among others.
