Wim Dirriwachter has brought together a total of 24 arrangements for two violins in a collection entitled Folk Music for Violin Duo, based on folk songs and similar traditional music from a wide range of countries around the world. This collection is divided into two volumes, with the level of difficulty in volume 1 ranging from easy to intermediate, and in volume 2 from intermediate to advanced; in both volumes the works are arranged in order of increasing difficulty. The diverse stylistic range of these arrangements provides for variety in violin lessons and simultaneously makes them striking performance pieces that will bring joy to the performer and audience alike.
