The LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort in South Steiermark follows the successful example set by the wine destination LOISIUM in Langenlois, Lower Austria. In one of the country's most popular wine regions, the resort offers an international platform for the sophisticated enjoyment of wine in a felicitous synthesis of upscale contemporary architecture and design. The building for the four-star designer hotel and vinotheque was designed by Architektur Consult of Graz, with architect Peter Zinganel as the general planner. The interiors by BEHF Architects of Vienna are interpretations of the traditional "Stierian" style, yet go beyond conventional cliches. The project along the South Steirmark's wine route is intriguingly documented and placed within a larger context through interviews and essays about the region.
