This book is a narrative of emails sent by author Mary Faderan to friends and family about her elderly mother, Sally Faderan, who developed chronic limb ischemia, went through two surgeries to insert stents in her leg, and to remove gallstones, suffered a heart attack and then developed sepsis, finally dying on March 25, 2011.
