Safety in Numbers - Statistical Methods in Pharmacovigilance
Statistical methods are not well understood by the majority of people working in pharmacovigilance (drug safety). On the other hand, the practice of pharmacovigilance is not well understood by statisticians who work in the field. Although statistical principles are at the heart of pharmacovigilance methods of analysis, current practice ignores these principles. This book has been designed to help bridge the gap - it will help to inform and inspire both groups, and enhance working relations. The book is aimed primarily at practitioners of drug safety (medics, drug safety specialists, etc), but will also be of relevance to academics who work in the area or postgraduates studying pharmacovigilance.
