Bill Evans is a giant among pianists and his recordings are a legacy of some of the best trio work ever recorded in jazz. This is what they call musical poetry. No other jazz pianist has approached Bill Evans in that. The reading of “Seascape” is one of the most pretty recordings Bill ever did. The sound is excellent and Bill is truly at his best and so is his trio. On this album there are two takes of the title song, "I Will Say Goodbye" by Michel Legrand. Other great performances include "Nobody Else But Me," "A House is Not a Home," and Herbie Hancock’s "Dolphin Dance," all recorded in 1977, with Eddie Gómez on bass and Eliot Zigmund on drums.
