Writer and theosophist Pekka Ervast (1875-1934) takes the reader in the middle of the first early Christian congregation. He describes the Ecclesia, the invisible Church founded by Jesus Christ and His disciples. This mystery school was meant only for the chosen, the seekers of truth, who in the atmosphere of love and brotherhood, following the esoteric teachings of the Master, the commandments in the Sermon on the Mount, aspire to union with the Cosmic Christ. Jesus says: "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there Christ is in the midst of you".
Christendom has not been able to fulfill life according to the aspirations of the early Christian congregation. Nevertheless, the ideal has lived through the centuries, and the unseen Church of Christ is born among those who follow in their everyday life the esoteric teachings given by Jesus, and want to grow and live in love and truth helping and serving others.
"Many are called, but few are chosen." Matt. 22:14.
