The present commemorative volume contains 10 studies in Modern Greek literature, linguistics and other aspects of Greek culture. The studies constitute a tribute to Jussi Korhonen, a beloved friend and a charismatic lecturer of Modern Greek at the University of Helsinki. Jussi Korhonen inaugurated Modern Greek studies in Finland in the late 1960s, and his friendy character - as well as ardent interest in all things Greek - have inspired innumerable student generations ever since.
