Holy Sacraments of Baptism, Chrismation and Holy Communion
This volume comprises the last five Mystagogical Catechisms which are a unit and constitute the pinnacle of St. Cyril's lessons to the newly illumined Christians. They have a special importance for all Christians and can become the starting point for rekindling our love and dedication to the leader of perfector of our faith, our Lord and God Jesus Christ.
St. Cyril reminds us in these Catechisms a) that as baptized Christians we are committed to be dead to ourselves and to the world, b) that as chrismated with the holy Myrrh we have received the Holy Spirit, to Whom we must fully entrust ourselves, and c) that when we attend the Divine Liturgy, we must prepare ourselves and partake of the immaculate sacraments of the Body and Blood of Christ. This is the rule of the Orthodox Christian, the way of Salvation.
