The author has written this book with a view to giving the reader not only an enjoyable story but also trying to portray the law enforcement and intelligence service personnel as ordinary men and women who are asked to do an exceedingly difficult job rather than the image portrayed on cinema screens. He has tried to convey to the reader that when organised crime gets a grip it can be some time before it is detected and can give enormous wealth to the main participants. Although this work is fictional the author served for over thirty years in the police service and has written two other books on the police and security services.
