Prepared by Amy L. Cota-McKinley. Each Grade Aid chapter corresponds to a chapter in the textbook and is organized into four distinct sections:
- The Before You Read section contains a brief chapter summary, learning objectives, and key terms to help students familiarize themselves with what they’ll be learning.
- The As You Read section contains a collection of activities and exercises designed to keep students actively engaged with the material.
- The After You Read …Practice Tests section contains four practice exams. The first three exams contain 10 multiple-choice questions; the final exam is comprehensive to the chapter and contains 15 multiple-choice, 8 true/false and 2 essay questions. Answers can be found in the appendix at the end of the Grade Aid.
- The When You Are Finished section contains web links and a fun crossword puzzle that uses key terms from the text.
