Arriving in town as a gambler down on his luck, Latigo is a man bent on vengeance. Haunted by past injustices, he plans first to ruin Major Lonroy Crogan, the owner of the town of Casa Grande and then to kill him. With a loaned poker stake, it isn't long before Latigo makes a small fortune and is able to threaten Crogan's empire.
