C.J. Dexter graces us once again with another collection of his heart wrenching and deeply spiritual words. A War Among the Stars is an astronomy-themed poetry collection that explores the topics of race, black empowerment, spiritual healing, self-help, immigration, love, and loss. Dexter mainly focuses on the message of becoming one with who you are and living in a constant state of assurance and self-worth in a world that desires to tear others down. Dexter has also stated that this book is simply a small release compared to his next book which is expected to arrive in June 2018.
