The aim of the present book is to relate Karl Barth's theology and the theology of the Johannesprolog. It presents a contribution to Barth research and a theological exegesis of the Johannes prologue in the context of the Judeo-Christian conversation. The word became a Jewish, messianic person - this, according to the core thesis of the work, is both a central insight of Barth's theology and the precise definition of what John 1:14 says.
