A murder in the suburbs causes disorder when tolerance, understanding, and traditional values are questioned.
Lebanese-American Ava Makari was an above-average college sophomore with big dreams. Last year, her life was cut short one morning. When the former high school football star initially accused of her murder is released from custody for lack of evidence, Detective Richard Pringle, a former Brooklyn policeman, reopens the case.
However, with the village mayor, Celine Weston, looking good for reelection, and the police chief making sure to keep things status quo in the community amid strife and suspicions, Detective Pringle is determined to put the pieces of the puzzle together without interference.
Unfortunately for Richard and his family in their new surroundings, his investigation to prove Ava's murderer looks like an uphill battle. Are racism, prejudice, and discrimination at the forefront of this bucolic Long Island village? Find out in the psychological thriller NORTH HOLLOW HILLS.
