1891. When reading and studying the volumes of Andrew Jackson Davis, Ms. Davis met with passages which embodied so much wisdom and practical worth that she was inspired with the wish and hope that some person might be moved to select a number of paragraphs to form another volume. While reclining for a little rest and meditation, Ms. Davis received the impression that she was to create such a book and our present volume is the fruits of her labors.
