Handbook for Housemen proved a huge success with newly qualified doctors, bridging the gap between the knowledge required to pass finals and the skills needed to survive the reality of ward work. This new edition has been expanded to embrace new attitudes and new areas of emphasis: career planning, communication, and financial aspects of house jobs. Elsewhere, the text has been updated to take account of current medical practice and organisational changes.
